Began Phase 2, which focused on the third floor of the building.
Launched the Campaign for Youth Potential, aimed at building capacity and renovating the new building to best suit our needs and growth. Began working on Phase 1, which focused on the first floor of the building. This includes YDC, kitchen, and administrative offices. Expanded programming to include Education & Employment, SOAP, etc?

Acquired a 24,000 square foot three-story building in East Garfield Park.
2019
After rapidly outgrowing the space, leadership began searching for a larger building. Want to be more centered around the population we serve.
2018
Recognizing a dire need for shelter/services for homeless youth, Covenant House Illinois opened at the former Lawson House YMCA building in River North as the 30th Covenant House location. Programs included interim shelter (12 beds) and drop-in center.
